Opening size and panel layout
A wider or taller opening can change panel count, individual panel dimensions, glass thickness, hardware capacity, frame reinforcement and crating. Two layouts with the same square area may price differently.
Frame, glass and hardware
Standard or thermally broken aluminum, wood-clad construction, insulating glass, impact laminates, traffic panels, locks, screens and custom finishes each affect the configured system.
Structure and waterproofing
Header changes, jamb reinforcement, sill recesses, drainage, membranes, flashings and floor transitions belong to the project scope even when they are not supplied with the door.
Freight and installation
Crate dimensions, weight, origin, destination, truck access, liftgate, unloading, staging, floor level and installation equipment can materially change the delivered cost.

Why is there no universal bifold-door cost per foot?
Linear width and area do not capture panel count, hardware, glass, thresholds, minimums, freight or structure. Use a verified manufacturer table when available; otherwise the opening requires a documented quote.
